Arno VOTTELER

After graduating from the Offenbach College of Art and Design, Votteler began his career working with renowned designers such as Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot. He was deeply influenced by the functionalist style of the Bauhaus movement, which advocated the union of form and function.

In the 1960s, Votteler began working as a freelance designer and founded his own design studio in Nagold. He quickly gained recognition for his ability to create products that combine elegance, simplicity and ergonomics. His creations are distinguished by a timeless aesthetic and a judicious use of materials.

Arno Votteler is best known for his collaboration with the Horgenglarus furniture brand, a Swiss company specializing in the production of wooden furniture. He designed several iconic pieces for the brand, including the "410" chair, which has become a modern design classic. This chair combines clean lines with exceptional comfort, demonstrating Votteler's technical and aesthetic mastery.
