For this project, he created the famous "Oxford" series. For the dormitories, he designed furniture in laminated oak, consisting of a desk, a chair, a lounge chair with a coffee table, which could also be fitted with a cushion and used as a footstool. This series is produced by Fritz Hansen under the name "St. Catherines".The college is located east of Oxford, on the banks of the River Cherwell. Its striking glass and concrete buildings by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen combine modern materials with a traditional layout around a quadrangle. Arne Jacobsen's architecture, in this and many other buildings, goes far beyond the architecture of the buildings themselves, and includes cutlery, furniture and lampshades of his own idiosyncratic design.
