About this vintage design furniture
A steel-framed sofa bed designed by Robin Cruikshank for Design Associates. The DA (Design Associates) consisted of Michael Wolchover, Roger Brockbank and Robin Cruikshank, who all graduated in the Central school of arts in London, they made very popular items during the early 1960s. Robin Cruikshank would later go onto work with Ringo Starr to form ROR. This sofabed was named the convertible settee and was sold in Heals and Liberty’s. It is fitted with new foam for added comfort and to revive the original clean lines and newly reupholstered in thick, durable yet soft upholstery fabric. The fabric is a mid grey with a faint herringbone pattern. Made in London, Uk, Circa 1964. Dimensions (cm): Sofa - 79 H x 186 W x 62 D Bed - 41 H x 186 W x 116 D Condition: The frame is in very good condition, and all the mechanical features are working as they should.
