About this vintage design furniture
Completely restored and new upholstered Dutch functionalist chair, 1934. This Art Deco piece has a beautiful handmade solid cherry wood frame, which is completely restored and has a new, fresh satin wax coating. The interior of the chair has been redone and the pool blue - greenish velvet upholstery gives this piece a modern look. A label dating the piece from ’Holland, 1934’ was found attached to the old springs. Designer unknown, but the piece was clearly inspired on the functionalist and clear lines of Cor Alons, Hendrik Wouda and Frits Spanjaard.
