About this vintage design furniture
Iconic 'Metropolitan Chair' designed by Ejner Larsen & Aksel Bender Madsen in 1950. Frame in solid beech with backrest and seat in teak plywood. The name of the chair comes from the exhibition "The Arts of Denmark" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in 1960. It has been recognised as an icon of Danish midcentury design ever since.
