About this vintage design furniture

This model 2204 wingback easy chair was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1963 and produced by Fredericia Stolefabrik in Denmark during the late 1960s. The chair is in very good original condition apart from the head support pillow that has been covered with new leather. Børge Mogensen who was one of the pioneers that created the foundation for the Danish design as a culture of furniture design once said "My goal is to create things that will serve man and give him the lead role, instead of, by the force of the devil adapt man to the things" The model 2204 wingback chair with it´s sharply defined outline and comfortable encompassing interior with feathered pillows, is one of his most iconic designs.
