About this vintage design furniture
An elegant rattan lounge chair in Italian design by Gio Ponti, around 1950. This wonderful piece truly catches the attention with it’s curved shapes, elegant finish and smooth transitions. All made of high quality rattan bent in shape and with upwards rattan spokes creating the backrest. The tall back, curved armrests and slightly tilted seat all add to a very nice seating comfort. The piece is beautiful as it is or could be combined very nicely with a pillow or sheepskin, for example. It can be placed in many different interiors in many different ways, always adding a sense of luxury to the decor The piece remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
