About this vintage design furniture
The large hand carved wooden sculpture was done by artist Laszlo Feldman, in the 1970s. Heavy, massive piece with a beautiful finish. This organic abstract possibly depicts a sitting person- with someone in its lap. Signed on the back "Feldman" Feldman (1907-1994) was original an acrobat, under the pseudonym Athos, world known for his extreme strength. Later, under Istvan Huber-Desi, Hungarian artist he studied painting and sculpting. Influenced by Henry Moore and other organic abstract artists.
