About this vintage design furniture

Clearly recognisable as a Illum Wikkelsø design is this comfortable ML-90 sofa. This sofa was made mid sixties by the Michael Laursen factory. A fairly unconventional design with quadrangle side face and crossed solid teak legs that support the back leaning sofa make it really edgy. This sofa has been reupholstered by a professional reupholsterer in a quality wool from Kvadrat, Clara 2 No. 797 on the outside and No. 933 on the inside. Kvadrat Clara 2 is a beautiful woolen furniture fabric from the designer Anne Birgitte Hansen. Her fabrics stand out because they are woven with a special technique. In this version the fabric is mixed with stitching in one color and in another color just the other way around. The mixed versions give depth to the fabric. Composition 8 Nylon, 92 Virgin wool. Wear resistance 80,000 Martindale Furnip got a hold of the matching easy chair (ML-91) This chair is reupholstered in the same Kvadrat Clara 2 combination of colors as this sofa. Also for sale here on Designmarket. Seat height 39cm.
