About this vintage design furniture
It is a unique desk, called a "working table" by Bodil Kjaer when she designed it in 1959. Produced by E. Pedersen & Søn in Denmark, this desk was made to order in the early 1960s with a custom-fit leather top in Brazilian Rosewood and chrome steel legs. This is probably the most emblematic Mid-Century desk, appearing in three James Bond films (From Russia with Love - 1963; You only Live Twice - 1967; On Her Majesty's Secret Service - 1969), and more recently in Kingsman - 2014. Four deep drawers form a large storage space, with a lockable drawer. This very rare desk has been fully restored with buffered varnish, and is in superb condition.
