About this vintage design furniture

A superb and hard to find teak rocking chair designed by Ole Wanscher for France & Son, Denmark. An absolute triumph of a design, the slenderness of the frame is remarkable and there is not a line out of place, this has always been one of our favourite chairs to have in stock. The chair features its original sprung cushions which have been upholstered with Kvadrat Divina fabric. This GreyBlueGreen blend is very sympathetic to the original colours offered in the 50’s and contrasts beautifully with the timber. An example of this design is held in the permanent collection of The Museum Of Modern Art in New York.
