About this vintage design furniture
Wire Chairs by Till Behrens for Schlubach A set of four 1980s chromed steel wire chairs Kreuzschwinger by Till Behrens, Germany. "Till Behren is a German architect, city planner and designer, born into a family of engineers, inventors and architects. His practice often looks into providing flexible spaces that can adapt with the user. His most celebrated design is perhaps his Kreuzschwinger chair. This truly innovative design features a cross-shaped cantilevered frame that allows the user to swing gently forwards and backwards without the need of any mechanical moving parts. A design so cutting edge it was the first chair to be granted extensive copyright protection in court. The chair has received many accolades and is present within many key collections around the world." Well-known design that is well documented in general design literature. Condition: Excellent original condition. Dimensions (cm): 43 W x 92 H x 54 D. Seat height 45
