About this vintage design furniture
Magnificent rattan armchair Conte Biancamano. Italian design by Lio Carminati and Gio Ponti, 50's. Armchair designed to decorate the cruise ship Conte Biancamano. Classic Italian design also reminiscent of the Emmanuelle or Pomaré armchair. Very good original condition, recently cleaned and oiled. All fittings are in good condition, no missing or broken rattan rods.

About the designer
Gio PONTI
1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
