A beautiful brass pendant lamp designed by Svend Aage Holm Sorensen for Holm Sorensen and Co - Denmark, 1960s.Danish modern brutalist patinated brass pendant lamp, named The Onion. The brass petals are flashlight cut and acid treated for effect - Holm Sorensen's signature method. The piece comes with an original brass chain and canopy and matching gold cord.The bowl of the lamp gives a bright, warm effect.Model 6395.Labeled in the canopy.

About the designer
Svend Aage HOLM SORENSEN
Holm Sorensen was a Danish designer known for his minimalist, functional creations. Born in 1938 in Frederiksberg, Denmark, he studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before turning to industrial design.
