About this vintage design furniture

Certainly Friso Kramer is considered as one of the most important pioneers in Dutch design of the modernistic Dutch design movement. Friso Kramer worked for multiple companies but most often for Ahrend De Cirkel The Repose is considered as the strongest design from Friso Kramer, next to the Result dining chair. In contrast to the Result, the Repose hasn’t been produced in the same numbers and isn’t produced anymore now and is therefore becoming more rare. This item feature a white metal frame with black (bakelite) armrests and red De Ploeg fabric. The backside of the chair (bottom frame) is made of steel as well. The chair is in very good condition, all over with some slight discolouration on the fabric and some minor wear on the frame. One of the armrests has a small damage.
