About this vintage design furniture
Designed in the 50s by Louis van Teeffelen for WéBé Netherlands. There was a strong collaboration between this designer and furniture company during the 50s and 60s. The Pinguin lounge chair is one of the most important designs from Louis van Teeffelen. This specific chair features a natural white leather upholstery with buttoned structure on the backside and a dark Wengé wood frame. The chair has been reupholstered in beautiful white leather. The frame is in good condition however has been repaired in the past (nearly invisible).

Louis VAN TEEFFELEN
Wim Rietveld Van Teeffelen, better known as Louis van Teeffelen, was a Dutch designer who was born in 1921 and died in 1972. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s.
