About this vintage design furniture
Absolute iconic design by Pierre Paulin for Artifort from 1960. The oyster is one of the more well-known pieces of Pierre Paulin and is still a bestseller today since Artifort still produces it. What makes this piece so special is that it was produced in 70s and still has its old nickel frame. Nowadays Artifort uses chrome frames but this item has the nickel frame, which is much more sought after by enthousiasts. The chair features beautiful purple Kvadrat Tonus fabric 0634. The fabric is in beautiful condition with limited wear visible. Certainly no stains or rips. Just like with most Oysters, the backside of the fabric is a bit loose but it has no influence on the usability. The frame is in nice vintage condition as well and has never been welded before due to old reparations
