About this vintage design furniture

Mariano Fortuny 2-seater sofa for Maison Decour Circa 1950 Sofa upholstered in Mariano Fortuny fabric and silk velvet, made by a famous French company based in Paris, Maison Decour. This firm is known for having worked for international decorators such as Jacques Grange and Georges Geffroy, and for clients such as Yves Saint Laurent. It is upholstered in two fabrics: a vintage Venetian cotton printed by Mariano Fortuny (this fabric is called Carnavalet, gold and silver: it is a 17th century French design named for the Paris museum for which Mariano Fortuny made his first decorative design), and a blue silk velvet that has beautiful luminous reflections and was made by the French Manufacture Verel de Belval (part of Hermès Textiles). It is made in the traditional way (springs and coils), which makes it so comfortable. Both cushions are made of goose feathers. Dimensions: H 82 cm x W 210 cm x D 105 Overall very good condition.
