Vintage Suitcase typewriter model 3040 by Erika, Germany, 1971

Suitcase typewriter model 3040 manufactured by the East German company Erika, this type of model was made in 1971 (type 4702808). The Erika company was the basis and inspiration for the production of many other machines such as Optima, Prasident, Aztecs, CBM, Robotron etc. Machines from the 3040 series, which are successively the third and fourth generation of Erika machines, constitute an indisputable typewriter pattern and are considered the canon of industrial design. The Erika company is one of the most important companies dealing in the production of writing machines in history, and the 3040 series machines can be found as exhibits in many technical museums around the world. The copy presented by us is kept in very good condition, with slight traces of use.
