Vintage Side Table, 1960s

Unique, beautiful mid-century side table console table storage for vinyl from France, circa 1960’s. The piece is in overall excellent, original condition, with minor signs of age and use commensurate with time. The tabletop has a warm, rich, brown, vinylskaileatherette material, with a crocodile pattern and two metal handles on either side. It has been gently cleaned. No rips or tears (see photos.) The rest of the body, frame and slots, are a pale-gold color with a nice patina of time with signs of age and use, commensurate with time. It sits on 4, brass-finished, multi-directional wheels that are all functional. There is a second shelf below the table top. It has six, open slots that are approximately 8 & 12 inches wide, that stretch back and up to the bottom of the table top. Down below, is another shelf with 15, upside down, rounded, "V-shaped" slots, to store a fair amount of vinyl records (33 13 & 45 rpm). Each slot can easily fit 1 - 7, 33 & 13 albums with no problem. Rare to find, this piece is neither too big or small for any given space, whether used as a side or end table in the living room, office, den or bedroom, as an accent piece, magazine rack, tv console, a place to store books and of course, the perfect piece to put your turntable and store your favorite, record collection.
