About this vintage design furniture
Born in 1981 designer Hein thinks architecture is s a fundamental cultural act of building our environments expressing the present to create value and future meaning combining strong ideas with technology and crafts. Therefore he pursues a fascination for interdisciplinary design & research methods by practicing architecture on various scales: Buildings, monuments, landscape and objects. Van Lieshout: ‘Fed by my fascination with language, philosophy and symbolism I “write” layered spatial stories by producing (research) models resulting in high quality imaginative vistas.’ And about objects: ‘Senses are subjective, meaning of objects as well.’ In 2013-2014 – the nr. 1 Bench has been unveiled in public. AVL just positioned the bench on three locations in Amsterdam on street-level. In front of the Stedelijk Museum, and two other positions just to see how people react on the item. The bench is beautiful in design, practical in moving around and nice to sit on for conservations. Good condition consistent with age and use.
