About this vintage design furniture
This daybed sofa is designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and manufactured by France & Daverkosen in Denmark in the 1950s. It is a known design, but this piece is not labelled, because they were not always labelled. The daybed is a good example of high end quality materials and manufacturing. We have replaced the cushions and fabric; the frame is original. The new fabric is a high quality felt wool fabric: Divina by Kvadrat. This daybed is in solid teak and in very good condition. dimensions: height: 88 cm (seat: 40 cm) length: 190 cm depth: 75 cm

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
