About this vintage design furniture

Mid century, vintage, Scandinavian-style nightstand, with a door, manufactured by SEMB, in the S.W. of France, circa 1950’s - 1960’s Piece is in overall excellent, original condition with signs and marks of usage and patina of time on the top and legs ( see photo). The piece has been only cleaned to preserve patina of time. I could have chosen the easy way and sand everything, but to me a piece like this reflect the true meaning of what a vintage item should be," in good condition , clean and an history behind" The beautiful, blonde wood remains sleek and smooth. The piece has a front door with a brass color handle( faded finish) to store books, magazine or else. There is a small brass color trim between the top of the door and the top. All four tapered legs, are removable and all marked with a stamp in the inside of the company, "SEMB" , and have legs tips with brass finish. The legs will be disassembled for shipping purpose. Nightstand is solid and stable. Not only a great piece to use as it was intended in a bedroom, but can also work very well in a smaller living space, loft, den or living room, as a small accent, side, phone or plant table that will compliment mid-century decor.
