About this vintage design furniture
Vintage, mid-century pitcher vase made by renowned, French ceramist, Jacques Blin, from the 1950’s. Known for his trademark method of etching or carving exotic birds, primitive animals, abstract objects and shapes into raw clay before applying his signature misty, cloudy glaze, this piece reflects his unique style. It has a beautiful, beige-greenish hue mixed with charcoal, carved with images of exotic birds, with a dotted, decorative motif at the top, middle and base. ~ Signed "J Blin" for Jacques Blin. ~ The body is in excellent original condition. ~Very light signs of age and use, commensurate with time. ~ Two, small marks under the base, neither of which affect its functionality or beauty. ~ Patina in beautiful, original condition for its age. Both collectable and desirable, this ceramic piece of decorative artwork, will only compliment any given atmosphere.
