About this vintage design furniture
One of the most interesting lamps of Danish design. Charlottenborg was originally designed by Poul Henningsen in the 1930s. In 1979, it was redesigned by Sophus Frandsen and Ebbe Christensen specifically for the Charlottenborg Building in Copenhagen. This smaller version, 5-4½, was created for the concert hall in Aarhus in 1984. The 4-screen lamp has been designed to increase the amount of light emitted horizontally from the lamp, which results in better wall and shelf lighting than a regular 3-screen lamp. The lamp is produced to this day by Louis Poulsen, only at request. The lamp is in good condition, no scratches on the paint, only a few scratches visible in the pictures. The lamp has been dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, a new braided cable of about 5 meters has been installed. Please note that the items we sell are used items, often 40-50 years old, because of this they have traces of use, which can not always be seen in the pictures.
