About this vintage design furniture
Pair of Olivier Mourgue's "Joker" armchairs for Airborne International. Made in France in 1964. High model with headrest. Chrome-plated flat steel frame, black rubber straps and cushions in beige mottled tweed wool. Topstitch finishes and covered buttons. Very comfortable models with suspended seats. The foams are new, replaced by an upholsterer and the fabric is period. Nice state of preservation, shiny chrome, fabric in good condition, some traces of time: Noted that a small metal cabochon is missing behind a cushion (invisible place), that one of the two seats is slightly lighter with two marks of use (not very visible) and that one of the two armchairs has a stain under an armrest (see last picture).
