About this vintage design furniture

The "Strips" pendant is designed by the two friends (and founders of Quality System) Preben Jacobsen and Flemming Brylle in the late 1960s to early 1970s. A spherical shaped pendant, comprised of 35 acrylic sheets, fixed to each other like a jigsaw puzzle and held in place by five transparent acrylic pieces to form a frame for the thin sheets. The bulb is completely concealed behind the sheets and covered towards the top and bottom by a small acrylic plate. When lit, the sheets create a soft warm ambiance, while the transparent frame becomes darker in color and emphasizes the spherical shape. Simple and appealing with a touch of space age – a beautiful pendant that would look amazing hanging over a dining table in the living room or over a kitchen table, or even in the bedroom to create a cozy atmosphere. Some slight discoloration and scratches. No breaks or cracks. Standard E27 socket. Sold only as a pair. I try to make the pictures reflect the true look, color and condition of the piece. If you have any questions or want additional photos please send a PM before buying.
