About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century Rudolf Wolf table and chair (model 5502) designed for Elsrijk in 1960. Rudolf Wolf was an architect, industrial designer and can be counted with Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld as one the most important Dutch industrial designers of the last century. The table has telescopic legs and is because of that adjustable in height from 48 – 75 cm. Material: black metal, wood with linoleum (top) and the table has a brass edge. The red upholstery of the backrest is still original, and the seat was re-upholstered in the past with black artificial leather. This set is in used condition, some normal traces of use, wear and discoloration. The price is for the table and the chair. Dimensions table: h x w x d 75 x 120 x 80 cm, chair: 78 x 50 x 48 cm, seat height 44 cm. The table is marked: Elsrijk (see photo). Source: Catalogue Good wonen 1964, page 6.

Rudolf WOLF
Rudolf WOLF was a German designer, born in 1886 and died in 1962. He studied at the Munich School of Arts and Crafts and worked as an industrial designer for several companies in Germany, including the Rosenthal porcelain company.
