About this vintage design furniture
Pair of pitcher-shaped vases from the Allix factory in Vallauris, 1950s. Earthenware with high flared neck, decorated with horizontal bands of different shades of green or geometric patterns on a white background. The inside of the jugs are enamelled white. The Alix workshop was created by Michel Alexandrov - Born in 1910, a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, he moved to Vallauris (Golfe-Juan) in 1946. Helped Portanier and Francine Del Pierre in their early days, firing their ceramics. The largest measures 23 cm high - Diameter: 22 cm - Depth: 21 cm, the other measures 14 cm high - Width: 15 cm - Diameter: 8 cm
