About this vintage design furniture
Verner Panton originally designed the Cone Chair for a Danish restaurant, manufactured by Plus Linje. The shape of the chair is based on the classic geometric figure to which it is named: the cone or cone. The padded shell forms the backrest and armrests and, in combination with the soft seat cushion, gives the chair its exceptional seating comfort. In 1988 Panton designed this set again with some technical improved form and measured slightly different (oval transverse cross-section) on a round flat base, manufactured by Fritz Hansen. The whole is mounted on an elegant steel wired frame. The uniqe set of two identical pieces are in good condition consistent with age and use.
