About this vintage design furniture
Black Egg Chair 3316 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen 2007. This is the single most iconic piece of Danish design ever made. The Egg Chair model 3316, in Danish "Ægget" was designed in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen as part of a complete interior. Arne Jacobsen was the first to use this specific technique of a hard foam shell clad with high density foam and fabric or leather. This sculptural chair is upholstered with black wool fabric and sits on a four star foot in cast aluminium with a satin polished steel pillar. Tilt function is operated by a small steel lever under the chair. This chair is in pristine condition, without any visible signs of use.
