About this vintage design furniture

Very nice ebony coloured Omann Jun model 54 dining table made by the Omann Jun Møbelfabrik. This low gloss oiled table is very dark coloured rosewood with edges made from solid rosewood. This is clearly a quality table with a sturdy extension mechanism allowing for a stable table when extended. In extended setting the table comes in at a whopping 2.5 meters. The leaf extenders match colour of the main leaf still. For the vintage condition this table is in with a lighter spot on the table top and some scratches but overall we rate it as a very good.

Gunni Omann (1928-2016), also known as Omann Jun, was a renowned Danish designer and cabinetmaker. He is best known for his teak furniture of the 1950s and 1960s, which have become icons of modern Danish design.
