About this vintage design furniture
This Globe hanging lamp – B-1042.000 – is designed by Frank Ligtelijn for Raak Amsterdam (The Netherlands) in 1961. This Globe lamp has a polished light metal reflector in which you’ll find the socket. This reflector is enclosed by round smoked crystal glass from Peill & Putzler (Germany). A border with small holes in the reflector illuminates the brown crystal glass boll when lit.

About the designer
Frank LIGTELIJN
Frank Ligtelijn (1943-2017) was a Dutch industrial designer known for his work in office equipment and consumer electronics. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague before working for Philips Design from 1967.
