About this vintage design furniture
Elegant coffee table from the 1950s, model "FD 516". Rare danish design classic manufactured by France & Søn. Base and top made of teak with tapered legs and a storage board with brass mounting. Very good general condition with minor traces of usage. The table has been professionally revised.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
