Moeckl

Ernst MOECKL

Moeckl studied at the Stuttgart School of Applied Arts and began his career as a graphic designer for various companies, including Bosch and Daimler-Benz. He also worked for the Berlin advertising agency Scholz & Friends.

In 1937, Moeckl was appointed art director of the AEG electrical equipment company in Berlin. He designed numerous products for AEG, including radios, television sets and household appliances. His work for AEG was recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix at the 1937 Paris World's Fair.

After the Second World War, Moeckl worked for the Swiss industrial design company Inno, where he designed products for many international companies. He also worked as a design consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Moeckl's work was characterized by a functionalist, minimalist aesthetic and great attention to detail. His designs were often innovative and influenced many designers and companies in the following decades.
