About this vintage design furniture
Ladderax modular book shelf with three metal uprights and ten teak shelves. Designed by Robert Heal and produced by Staples, Cricklewood London. The ladders lean against the wall allowing approximately 16cm of skirting board clearance. Metal rods are hung between the rungs of the ladders. The shelves slot firmly onto the rods.

Robert HEAL
Robert Heal was a British designer who was born in 1932 and died in 2009. He is best known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s as a furniture designer and founder of the British company Heal's, which was founded in 1810 by his great-grandfather.
