About this vintage design furniture

A 404 occasional chair designed by V B Wilkins for G-Plan c.1953 and in production until 1959. Fully restored with all new foam and upholstered in a lovely silver grey soft touch 100 wool and finished with freshly ebonised legs. Lovely 50’s styling with its curved back, deep buttoned seat and back and splayed ebonised legs. Height to seat 37cm Seat measures 56cm wide x 45cm deep

Victor B. WILKINS

Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) was an American industrial designer known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Art Students League of New York and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
