Pair of Ax armchairs designed by Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and Peter Hvidt in 1960, edited by Fritz Hansen Model 1980s, sticker present. Scandinavian design, made in Denmark. No restoration. Frame in laminated beech, trim and original quilted brown leather. H 93 x W 67 x D 80 cm - Seat height 40 cm

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
