About this vintage design furniture
A pair of stoneware pieces from one of Swedens finest pottery producers Rörstrand. Designed by Rörstrands two most famous stoneware artists. The bowl is by artistic leader at Rörstrand Gunnar Nylund and the jug by Carl Harry Stålhane. The jug from the SYO series. Both have very delicate matte hares fur type glaze in shades of brown going into greay green in the bowl.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
