Beautiful bookcase by Willem Lutjens for De Boer Gouda, manufactured in The Netherlands in 1953. It has birch stands and teak plywood shelves, a rare and beautiful version of this bookcase, that is one of the most iconic pieces in Dutch design. It is easy to take apart and rebuild. In good condition with minor wear, consistent with age and use.

About the designer
Willem LUTJENS
Willem Lutjens was a Dutch designer, born on January 24, 1894 in Amsterdam and died on January 9, 1959 in Wassenaar. He studied architecture at Delft Polytechnic before turning to design. He worked for several design companies, including Metz & Co, where he created fabrics and wallpapers.
