About this vintage design furniture
Rare floor lamp designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen. Produced in Denmark by his own company during the 1950s. Spear shaped black lacquered metal tripod base with tapered solid teak endings. Brass fittings with two glass shades hand blown at Holmegaard. The inner shade in white opaline glass and the outer shade in a cool blue clear glass. Excellent condition

About the designer
Henning SORENSEN
Henning Sorensen was a Danish designer known for his elegant, modern furniture. Born in 1926, Sorensen began his career as an apprentice in a Copenhagen carpentry workshop. He went on to work for leading Danish furniture manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen and Fredericia Furniture.
