About this vintage design furniture
This piece was designed in the 1950s by Carl Auböck for Illum Bolighus, Denmark. The Carl Auböck workshop was founded as a metal workshop in the 19th century. Today it is still located in Vienna. The piece is made fully out of copper and brass with some minor dings and subtile patina.

Karl Auböck was an Austrian designer who was born in Vienna in 1924 and died there in 1985. He was the son of Karl Auböck Senior, a famous woodcarver.
