About this vintage design furniture

This modular shelving system in black lacquered wood, teak, and brass hardware, was designed by Louis Van Teeffelen in the 1950s. It’s a modular design which can be extended. This particular one has 2 uprights and 5 shelves.

About the designer

Louis VAN TEEFFELEN

Wim Rietveld Van Teeffelen, better known as Louis van Teeffelen, was a Dutch designer who was born in 1921 and died in 1972. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s.
