About this vintage design furniture
This foldable lounge chair was designed by Japanese designer Takeshi Nii in 1958. The chair was named ’NY’ after the designer’s family name, meaning ’new’ in Danish. This chair has won may awards and became a permanent feature in the MOMA collection in 1970. This chair remains in good condition with some wear to it’s metal frame (some rust) and some stains to the canvas seat which is removable.

Takeshi Nii was a Japanese industrial designer who was born in 1914 and died in 2005. He is best known for his work on innovative seating designs, in particular for his "NY" folding chair.
