About this vintage design furniture
Ceramic pedestal table lamp designed by Gunnar Nylund. Produced by Rörstrand in Sweden during the 1950′s. Stoneware in beige gray and brown mottled matte glaze, nubby surface. Signed with initials of ceramist, early edition. New electricity with a braided black fabric cable, light switch on the cord. New lampshade in white textured fabric. Excellent condition.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
