About this vintage design furniture

Italian Murano hanging lamp designed by Alfredo Barbini and made in Italy at Vetreria Alfredo Barbini in the 1960s. The mouth-blown glass is made with a special technique. The glass goes from clear to white milk glass. The chair on the picture shows the size of the lamp. Marked Barbini.

About the designer

Alfredo BARBINI

Alfredo Barbini was a famous Italian designer and master glassmaker, born in Venice in 1912 and died in 2007. He began his career in the 1930s working for several glass companies in Murano, an island near Venice known for its production of high-quality glass. Barbini then founded his own company, Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, in 1950.
