Gino Sarfatti is one of the greatest lights designers from the 20th Century. He is renowned for his original and innovative creations.
As a prolific designer, Sarfatti designed more than 600 lights models. During his entire career, he used new materials and created new forms and new technologies. He is the designer of iconic pieces such as the ‘2097’ chandelier (1958), the ‘600’ lamp (1966) and the ‘534’ lamp (1951). Biography Gino Sarfatti was born in 1912 in Italy. He studied naval aviation engineering at the University of Genoa. In 1939, he decided to dedicate his work to light design and founded the iconic Arteluce Company. He quickly met with great success thanks to the high quality of his lamps. He received numerous prizes such as the ‘Compasso d’Oro” in 1954 and in 1955. Sarfatti is one of the greatest designers from the 20th Century.
