About this vintage design furniture
Set of three organic shaped ceramics by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden. All three in blue glaze with streaks of aubergine to brown. Made in the 1950′s. Hand signed “r”, Three crowns of Rörstrand with initials of ceramist. Two, first line of production, tray is second line due to few pores in glaze. excellent condition. Price is for the set.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
