About this vintage design furniture
Set of three stoneware jugs vases by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand. Handmade in Sweden during the 1940′s and 1950′s. First vase with a matt blue speckled grey glaze, second one in speckled white glaze. Third one in jade color speckled grey. Hand signed “r”, three crowns of Rörstrand with initials of ceramist. All 3 are first line of production in excellent condition. Minor wear on white one.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
