About this vintage design furniture
A solid teak and cane model 519 side / corner table designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard Nielsen for France & Son of Denmark c.1957. Beautifully constructed throughout from richly figured solid teak with cane shelf and elegant tapering legs. The piece flats packs for transportation. Very good condition with light signs of use – carefully cleaned and oil finished.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
